International musician travels to Iran for instrument

Brilliant musician Petra Nachtmanova travels all the way to Iran for a chance to listen to traditional musical instrument in the country.   

The documentary ‘Saz: The Key of Trust’ shows the international musician's quest to know the origin of her own musical instrument, traveling from Berlin to Iran’s Khorasan where the maestro of Iranian local music, Ai Mohammad Yousefi performs at the heights of the mountains for the musician a grabbing piece played by a traditional musical instrument with two strings made of silver.

The international musician heads off in search of the origins of a string instrument tangled in myths, which found its way to her in the streets of Kreuzberg. She travels from Berlin to Istanbul, through Anatolia, over the snowy peaks of the Caucasus, and into the dusty desert of eastern Iran.
